New Restaurant Coming to Haslett This Spring

"The ice cream corner will soon be restored."

That's the message the new owners of The Corner Spot have for the people of Haslett, Michigan.

Alexis Bailey, who co-owns the new restaurant with her husband Adam, doesn't have an opening date to share but hopes to begin serving pizza and ice cream to customers later this spring.

The Corner Spot Plans to Open in Haslett Later This Spring

You might remember the Cone Zone in Haslett - used to be an ice cream shop staple on the corner of Lake Lansing and Marsh Roads in Haslett for years, right across from the entrance to Lake Lansing Park South. Cheezy D's Deli & Dogs took over the space briefly (mainly during the COVID era), but the location has remained empty since late 2021.

"We are pumped to get some ice cream on that corner again," Bailey said in a post on Instagram. "There is really nothing like that Haslett corner in the summer when you've got the flowers going in the park, and there's bikes and kids and dogs. It's exciting!"

The Corner Spot is expected to provide summer jobs to a number of local teens. The restaurant hopes to begin the staffing process soon, according to Bailey.
