The Saga of the Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge in Lansing Continues
I swear, I feel like we just talked about the Pennsylvania Avenue bridge claiming the life of another semi-truck whose driver thought they could make it under the bridge... Oh wait, that's because we did. One of the latest run-ins with this bridge happened on July 10th. And yet again, here we are dealing with another incident.

The Lansing subreddit keeps us updated whenever the Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge claims another vehicle, and it did just the other day.
This update came to us with a little bit of a surprise too.
Another Truck Gets Stuck Under the Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge in Lansing
We learned that not only had the bridge, affectionately dubbed "Big Penny" by fans, but it also had eyes and teeth attached to it!
This bridge is quite literally taking on a life of its own. And I'm here for it. It provides me, and all of Lansing I think, with a bit of humor.

But for real, truck drivers... what's going on? There are multiple signs alerting you to the short king bridge you're approaching. Not to mention one that only activates if a sensor determines your vehicle is too tall to pass, telling you to stop and turn back immediately.
Regardless of the signs, I think the unfortunate truth of the matter is that the Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge is going to continue to be hit by drivers who severely underestimate the height of their vehicles. But in the meantime, we'll laugh every time shenanigans about it goes down on the Lansing subreddit.
