2025 is shaping up to be a big year for changes happening in the Lansing food scene.

Change sometimes comes with loses; Sadly, we did see a restaurant closure this year with the closing of El Catrin Taco Shop in January.

However, change also come with additions, and we have two new ones in Lansing.

Now, both eateries are open and serving up their respective coffee and wings, so if you're looking for lunch or a caffeine fix on the south side, you're covered.

New Restaurants Opening in Lansing

Most recently, a brand new coffee place called, 7 Brew opened on South Cedar in Lansing across the street from the south side Meijer.

Other places that have opened in Lansing include Pizza Hut on the west side, Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant opened in early February near Eastwood Towne Center, and I Heart Mac & Cheese and more opened in the Hannah Plaza in East Lansing.

We have plenty more to look forward to as well; a dessert place called Capital City Sweets, a fast-casual eatery called 29° 41° Mediterranean Street Food, Dave & Buster's near Eastwood Towne Center, Anna's House on the west side, Jollof Afro-Caribbean Lounge in Downtown Lansing, Crown Grill near Old Town, Bubbakoo's Burritos near Frandor, and a combination Auntie Anne's and Cinnabon at the old Tim Horton's on Jolly near Dunckel.
