A New Dessert Place Has Just Opened in Lansing

I love when I get to tell you about a new eatery that has opened in Lansing. And this news is even more of a sweet treat because it's about a new dessert place (see what I did there?) that has opened up in Lansing!

Lansing has had a slew of new eateries open in the last few months. We've seen smaller, Michigan-based chain restaurants Big Moe's Kitchen and Middle Eats open just north of Frandor. Jersey Mike's opened up a location just west of Frandor.

Not to mention, a slew of other places are set to open sometime soon: Panda Express in South Lansing; 7 Brew Coffee in South Lansing; two Chick-fil-A locations in the greater Lansing area; and REO Town Clubhouse in REO Town.

A New Eatery Has Opened in Lansing

But one business that quietly opened its doors in August in the midst of all this is The Hummingbird—Sundaes & Takeaways.

I learned about the opening of The Hummingbird from the always informative and delicious Lansing Foodies Facebook Group. Someone shared a picture of one of their sundaes... the Biscoff Banana Caramel sundae...and I just cannot wait to try it, it looked so yummy!

The Hummingbird is open at 316 N. Cedar near Jackson Field, in what was supposed to be a business called Etta's Coffee House. They announced their hopeful opening in October of 2021. Sadly, that never came to fruition. However, that did leave the building open for The Hummingbird.

The Hummingbird serves up fresh-made custard and a variety of toppings, along with other yummy lunch time offerings like sandwiches, soups, and salads. The Hummingbird is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm.
