A New Coffee Spot Is Brewing in East Lansing

We've got another one to add to the list! Another new coffee shop, that is.

New Lansing Restaurants and More

Throughout 2025, the greater Lansing area has seen a slew of new eateries come to the area, ranging from cafes and coffee shops to fast-casual eateries and sit-down restaurants.

Now, we have another coffee shop we can add to the list.

East Lansing will be welcoming Foxtail Coffee Co. to town.

Foxtail Coffee Co. is a coffee chain that, while not new to the state of Michigan, will be new to the greater Lansing area.

This coffee shop features all the standards and classics that you'd expect to find at a coffee shop—cappuccino, fresh brewed coffee, iced coffee—there are also more whimsical beverages like the seasonal maple pancake latte and the spiced cappleccino (which is made with caramel apple butter and a dehydrated apple slice). Plus, there are other drinks and small bites, too.

When and Where is Foxtail Coffee Co. Opening in East Lansing?

Foxtail Coffee Co. is taking over an empty storefront along the main drag of Grand River Avenue in Downtown East Lansing, right between the student bookstore and Detroit Wing Company. As far as when we can expect this new coffee shop to open, a spokesperson for Foxtail says they hope to be open in spring 2026.

While the chain is based in Florida, there are a few locations already in Michigan if you wanted to check them out in the meantime; Ada Village, Downtown Holland, Byron Center, Eastown Wealthy St, Downtown Grandville, and East Paris.
