Silver Bells in the City
Lansing's 38th annual Silver Bells in the City event is scheduled for Friday evening (11/18) from 5pm-9pm. It's the city's official kickoff to the holiday season, featuring Christmas shopping with downtown merchants, festive refreshments and a parade featuring millions of Christmas lights (not to mention an appearance from Santa)! North Pole Express
The Steam Railroading Institute in Owosso fires up the North Pole Express beginning this weekend. It's a four and a half hour train ride to and from the Village of Ashley Country Christmas celebration in Gratiot County. Organizers invite you to "put on your favorite pajamas or 1940s/50s attire and join us for a nostalgic journey to the Christmas of yesteryear". Multiple trips are planned every weekend through December 18.
Lansing Record & CD Show
The Lansing Record & CD Show is scheduled Saturday (11/19) from 10am-4pm at Quality Inn University on East Grand River Avenue in Lansing. Looking to add to your vinyl collection? 5th Annual ICFF Turkey Trot Open Horse Show 2022
Love horses? The 5th Annual ICFF Turkey Trot Open Horse Show is slated for Saturday (11/19) and Sunday (11/20) at the Michigan State University Pavilion. Trainers and farms from all over the state will be showing their horses at this judged event, which doubles as a fundraiser for the youth of Ingham County.
Flight of the Turkey?
Find out everything you ever wanted to know about turkeys but were afraid to ask. Lansing's Fenner Nature Center hosts "Flight of the Turkey?" beginning at noon on Saturday (11/19). Can turkeys fly? Why are they even associated with Thanksgiving? Answers to all your questions await you.
Grand Rapids International Wine, Beer & Food Festival
The 15th Annual Grand Rapids Wine, Beer & Food Festival is scheduled for Friday (11/18) and Saturday (11/19) at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids. Organizers invite you to enjoy "more than 1,000 wines, beers, ciders and spirits from around the world, along with creations from the area’s finest restaurants".
