Cannabis and Camping and Michigan, Oh My!
If you're a Michigander with a fondness for camping and cannabis, you'll be happy to hear that there is something just for you this summer.
Cannabis-Friendly Camping in Michigan
In Muskegon, Michigan (northwest of Grand Rapids, along Michigan's west coast) sits The Grassy Knoll Recreational Dispensary. First, can we all give a little love to the amazing pun name. Second of all, they are planning on setting up a 'grass' friendly campground this summer.
Now, smoking marijuana in a public setting is nothing new to Michiganders. But this is something new for the dispensary. The owners, Janet Tombre and Fred Cini, are wanting to make room for approximately 50 RVs, plus tents, portable bathrooms, water, picnic tables and bonfire pits.

These sites are going to be available all summer. And there's no need to pick up your smoke sesh supplies before you go, because the dispensary is open until midnight.
Throughout the majority of the summer, there's a good chance you'll find a spot to park your RV or set up your tent. But come August 24th, they might be a bit harder to come by. The camping area is going to be open at the same time as a nearby, popular music festival—Burning Foot Beach Festival. And camping spots at a different location sell put super quickly for people attending that festival.
