After a seemingly strong start, Bath's Sadie Bass is no longer a contender on this season of NBC's "The Voice".

In this season's blind auditions, Sadie wowed both show mentors Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani with her cover of the 2006 Keith Urban hit "Stupid Boy".

A Michigan native now chasing her dreams of country music stardom in Nashville, Sadie shocked many (including show insiders) when she elected to become part of Team Gwen rather than Team Blake, after it was perceived that Shelton dissed her home state.

Sadie moved on to the show's Battle Rounds this week, but viewers saw very little of her. Her elimination was revealed during a two-minute montage of clips.

Gwen paired Sadie with fellow contestant Kayla Von Der Heide and assigned them to cover the 1972 Bread hit "Everything I Own". In a clip that didn't even last 20 seconds, the two were shown singing their duet version of the song. Astute viewers could see Sadie's elimination coming seconds before Gwen made it official, as only Kayla was shown singing a solo line.

Don't cry for Sadie Bass, however.

Sadie appeared at an Oktoberfest event in her hometown last weekend. While she couldn't let us know at the time that she'd already been eliminated, she did credit the show with raising her profile among fans and decision-makers in Nashville. Sadie also says she's excited to release new music soon, which she was contractually forbidden from doing while "The Voice" was underway.
