Recently, HGTV announced the locations for the best charming small town downtowns in all of America, and this one Michigan location absolutely crushed it on the list. Let's be honest too. There should have been a couple of locations that made the list, but we will take what we can get.

Why Marquette Stands Out Among Michigan’s Small Towns

Nestled away in beautiful northern Michigan is the little city of Marquette, which just got named the crown jewel of small downtown destinations. Right on Lake Superior, with incredible views, hiking and backpacking, and snowmobiling to enjoy in the wintertime.

On top of that, Marquette's downtown has tons of brew pubs, food trucks, coffee shops, as well as an amazing food scene.

If you're up there too, you have to check out Lagniappe, which is a local favorite that has been up is 1896. They serve up the best Cajun-Creole and Donkers.
