Following an ugly, public bankruptcy that led to the closure of all U.S. stores on June 29, 2018, the toy giant is ready to step back into the spotlight. According to PR Newswire, the comeback tour is global. While some cities will be getting permanent flagship stores across the country, Michigan isn't that lucky. Toy-shopping purists, who prefer to see and hold their purchase, can ditch online shopping and travel to Michigan's east side for a brick-and-mortar shopping trip at the following locations:

  • Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills
    • Now open
  • Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi
    • Opening Soon

Finally, a reason to brave mall parking lots again that doesn't involve a hot pretzel or Auntie Anne's.

The more "seasoned" Michiganders will rediscover the joy of being a Toys R' Us Kid — you'll know them when you see them because they'll be humming the theme song. That joy may run low once you see the price of the latest and greatest LEGO set, though. Happy shopping, Michigan. We deserve this slice of nostalgia.
