Here's a closed Burger King in Sterling Heights - sitting deserted on Schoenherr Road.
After a number of negative online customer complaints, the restaurant closed down sometime between 2023 and 2024. Looking at satellite images of this Burger King, it looks ostracized from the other businesses nearby; as if the other buildings were keeping their distance.
Inside, the play area is still intact. It was a fun play-place where the kids would rush after eating a big meal, run around, overdo it, and throw up.
That was called fun.
When the below images were taken, the lights inside had been left on, so it was easy to see the interior. It hasn't been closed that long, and the place almost looks as if it's still open. There's some damage, but not too much. And even the garbage out back has been removed... an occurrence unusual for any abandoned restaurant.
