These Trader Joe’s Products Have Been Recalled in Michigan Thanks To… Rocks?!
I'm not going to lie, I'm a Trader Joe's STAN. I love almost all of their products, and sing their praises to anyone within a ten mile radius that is willing to listen to me.
And one of the main reasons I love Trader Joe's is because they have so many unique and healthy products that won't break the bank.
The other reason? Because they're generally very reliable when it comes to the quality of the products on their shelves. But, if you've made a stop at the Trader Joe's here in Grand Rapids that's on 28th street recently, you may want to take a peek in your pantry to make sure you don't have these products.
And no, you're not worried about a foodborne illness.. but instead, they're being recalled over rocks.
What products have been recalled from Trader Joe's due to rocks?
According to a release from the grocery store chain, Trader Joe's is recalling two products due to them having a 'Potential Foreign Material (Rocks)'
You'll want to look out for:
- Trader Joe’s Almond Windmill Cookies (SKU# 98744)
- Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies (SKU# 82752)
Specifically, they say that the products with these sell by dates are the ones that are affected by the contamination.
- Almond Windmill Cookies: SELL BY 10/19/23 through 10/21/23
- Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies: SELL BY 10/17/23 through 10/21/23
If you're planning on picking these up in the future, you can rest assured that all of the product above has been removed from shelves and destroyed. But, if you picked them up prior to now you'll want to check and make sure yours don't match the sell by dates listed above.
They say that you should either throw them away, or you are welcome to bring them back to the store for a refund.
And while Trader Joe's products do rock, they shouldn't include rocks if you're planning to eat them, so be careful out there.
