They target 2012 to 2022 Kia Sportage and Optima vehicles, plus Hyundai vehicles with standard key ignition. These cars were built without theft-deterrent computer chips, which makes them easier to take without a key.

But now it looks like there is an uptick in a new kind of crime in Grand Rapids and the GRPD is looking for your help to try to find one man in particular who has been on a burglary spree since July.

GRPD Need Your Help To Find Man Tied To At Least 30 Burglaries

The Grand Rapids Police Department says that Nehemiah Chilton is connected to more than 30 burglaries at dispensaries and liquor stores around Grand Rapids.

GRPD also said that Nehemiah Chilton has been tied to 9 different car thefts which were used in the burglaries.
