After being gone for nearly 70 years, a classic Muskegon beer brand has been brought back to life!

Muskegon Brewing Company is part of the mixed-use Adelaide Pointe project on Muskegon Lake.

Dr. Emily Leestma has been leading the charge of the revival of Muskegon Brewing Company. The original business was located on Brewery Hill, where Cole's Bakery stands today. It closed in 1957 after 80 years in business.

According to Crain's Grand Rapids, while no one owned the Muskegon Brewing name, Leetsma spoke with the family of the company's founders and got their blessing.

Muskegon Brewing is partnering with Pigeon Hill Brewing, which is brewing a range of styles, including lager, blonde ale, west coast IPA, hazy IPA, fruit beer, wheat beer, and more under the Muskegon Brewing Co. brand.

Muskegon Brewing Co. seats 250 people and offers gorgeous views of Muskegon Lake.

It's currently in its soft opening phase. Here is a peek at the new restaurant and bar and some of its food offerings!

Muskegon Brewing company is currently offering a  limited menu during its soft opening. Items include Hong Kong Chicken Wings, Sailors Mussels, Fried Walley Tacos, Burgers, Grilled Trout and More.

After a soft opening last week, the restaurant has announced its grand opening! Muskegon Brewing Company will be closed Monday and Tuesday, with its grand opening Wednesday, July 10, 4p.m. to 10p.m. Hours Thursday through Saturday are 4p.m. to 10p.m., Sunday 2p.m. to 8p.m.

In addition to the new bar and restaurant, plans for Adelaide Pointe include in a condo, hotel, retail space, public fishing pier, and marina.
