This Michigan Home Looks Straight Out Of A Horror Movie
I'm a big horror fan. It is arguably my favorite category of cinema because of how many different departments can go into the set and special effects. It showcases the best of what goes into a movie being made.
That being said, every good horror movie needs a creepy house to unnerve both the characters and the audience (everyone knows The Conjuring House, which is as much a character in the movie as the actors). This home in Pittsford sold in May, and while it is unassuming from the outside, the interior is primed for a fright.
Pittsford House
According to the Zillow listing, this 1940 farmhouse is located in the village of Pittsford, a village with a population of 656 people, and has 3 bedrooms and a large detached double garage. However, as mentioned in the listing, the house is a "fixer-upper" and has work that needs to be done before it would be a safe place to live.
However, it's this tidbit about the house being rundown that makes it perfect for a horror movie. The interior decor The inside has colored drapes that have faded away giving them an eerie appearance. Popular wallpaper when this house was constructed has since peeled back or fallen away completely.
The upstairs appears to be rotting and completely exposed. I imagine the climax of the film would be here or the very large open garage. You can view the entire listing here or scroll below.
