Michigan Pizza Restaurant Gets National Praise is Named ‘Best’
Without question, Michigan is a great place for pizza. Which restaurant is serving up the best slices though? A national publication has picked the top pizza joint in Michigan... this is sure to spark a debate!

When folks think of pizza, usually states like New York and Chicago come to my mind. Increasingly though, Michigan is becoming top of mind for pizza enthusiasts. For two years in a row, Detroit has been named the top pizza city in the U.S.
The Mitten State has a rich history with pizza, with national chains Little Caesars, Domino's, Hungry Howie's, and Jet's Pizza all getting their start here.
Lovefood.com sought to find the best place for pizza in each state based genuine user reviews, awards and accolades, and the first-hand experience of their team.
According to Lovefood, the top Michigan pizza place is Supino Pizzeria in Detroit.
Now, Detroit may be know for, well, Detroit-style pizza. But that's not what you'll find at Supino. The restaurant serves soft and thin, New York–style pizza.

Supino Pizzeria has eight red sauces and five whites, with your choice of plenty of toppings like smoked ham, house-made Italian sausage, smoked chicken, pepperoni, and a variety of veggies and cheeses. Plus, there are regular specials.
Here's a look at one of their most popular pizzas, the Supino, with roasted garlic, black olives, chili oil, ricotta, and mozzarella.
Pizza isn't all you'll find on Supino's menu, you'll find a variety of appetizers and salads, plus entrees like Steak and Chicken Marsala.
Desserts include Cannoli and Panna Cotta with a seasonal topping.
Note that the restaurant's location in Eastern Market is temporarily closed due to a fire, but the New Center branch is open seven days a week.
