Recall: If You Own These Cars In Michigan, Toyota Will Replace Your Motor For Free
I know, it's insane that we're having this conversation again but at this point, I don't think we will ever stop having this same dialogue. Once again, I'm here to tell you about another recall that could potentially place you or your loved ones in danger if you ignore the signs. I know, I would love not to have these talks but this is how everyone remains safe, but maybe we should just have safer production processes.
Nonetheless, a recall is a recall, and drivers in Michigan need to know whether you or a loved one owns the vehicle or not. Vehicle recalls are always among the scariest as they point out a flaw in the 2,000+ lb metal machine that could cause serious or irreversible damage. Michigan drivers who own these vehicles should reach out to the nearest dealership and look to get their replacement as soon as possible.
Toyota is at the center of this recall as they are requesting over 100,000 Toyota Tundra Pickup trucks and over 3,500 Lexus LX 600 SUVs due to engine failure. Toyota has announced that the 2022 and 2023 Tundra trucks and Lexus SUVs have had reports of their engines suddenly losing power while driving.
Toyota decided that the simplest response and solution for the issue would be to replace the entire engine in each one of the trucks and SUVs, at the lovely cost of $0.00 for Michigan drivers. Yes, you read that right, the engine replacement and labor will be completely free of charge due to the recall.
Toyota believes that some vehicles may have had debris from the manufacturing process left inside of the engine. This would lead to the engine not running smoothly, stalling altogether while driving and banging or popping noises. This recall only applies to the regular gasoline-powered trucks and SUVs, not the hybrids.
