WLNS.com is reporting that a major, season long construction project on I-96 in Ingham and Livingston Counties is slated to begin this weekend.

Eleven miles of freeway between Webberville and Howell will be resurfaced, forcing overnight lane closures and weekend lane closures through November. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction during work periods.

Lane closures will occur nightly between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM. There will also be four weekends that will see work through  daytime hours as well. Throughout the eight month period, only one direction will see construction at a time.
