Mornings just took an interesting turn for all those coffee drinkers out there. Hostess is about to make enjoying your morning cup of coffee and breakfast easy peasy by combining them both into one delicious donut.

In a press release,  Hostess announced a new addition to its already popular Donnette line, new caffeinated doughnuts. The new treat dubbed the Hostess Boost Jumbo Donettes, is three times bigger than the original Hostess Donettes mini donuts.

The new way to eat your caffeine instead of drinking it is donuts caffeinated with coffee bean extract and will come in two delicious flavors, Chocolate Mocha and Caramel Macchiato. Each Hostess Boost Jumbo Donette contains just a little less caffeine (50-70 milligrams) than one cup of coffee. Both will run $2.49 a Jumbo Donette.

"For adults who are increasingly looking for alternative sources of caffeine, our new Hostess Boost Jumbo Donettes offer a tasty, energy-boosting, grab-and-go way to jumpstart the day," said Christopher Balach, general manager of Hostess Brands, LLC in the press release for the new release.

If you're wondering how good the new Donettes will taste, the descriptions actually sound pretty tempting. The Chocolate Mocha combines the decadent flavors of chocolate and espresso coffee, while the Caramel Macchiato variety combines creamy caramel and espresso coffee flavors that perfectly blend for a smooth and rich taste according to Hostess.

Now, all of this really sounds pretty cool, and tasty, but one question still remains...how many calories are in these little edible cups of coffee? Inquiring minds heading into bathing suit season want to know. Our investigative reporters are on it.

Hostess plans on debuting the new jolt of energy later this month at convenience stores around the country.
