In a press release the Democratic National Committee Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz stated the following:

Throughout this campaign all of our Democratic candidates have spoken forcefully about leveling the playing field by making sure an honest day’s work is rewarded with an honest day’s pay. No one in America who works full time should struggle to make ends meet. It’s about dignity, it’s about fairness, it’s about prosperity.

Apparently they also follow the old adage "do as I say not as I do". Did you know the democrats do not pay their interns for an honest day's work.

Maybe the key word in defense of the democrats is honest. We are talking about the democrat party officials and elected politicians.

On the democrats' website you will find the following:

“All DNC internships are on an unpaid, volunteer basis"

Interesting, if you are going to be the party of advocating a higher minimum wage than should you at least pay everyone who works for you?

I understand that many internships are unpaid, but again if you are going to be the party who believes in the adage "a honest day's pay for a honest day's work" then you must deny the other adage "do as I say not as I do".

Would you agree?
