The new Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter facility will hold its official Grand Opening this week.

Officials are ready to display their brand new facility approved by voters in 2016. Services in the shelter began on June 5. But, the Grand Opening ceremony will be held Friday, June 14 at 2:00 PM. Voters can see for themselves the vast improvements they approved, including an expanded floor plan and a new medical suite.

As soon as the ceremony concludes, the shelter will begin its annual summer Adopt-A-Thon. Shelter officials and volunteers will keep facilities open through Friday night, all the way straight through until Saturday at 6:00 PM.

During this time, there will be reduced adoption fees for shelter pets; $30 for dogs, $15 for adult cats and kittens, and $5 for senior cats. For full details, visit this link to the Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter website.
