Governor Rick Snyder is among a number of state executives calling on President Obama for help in addressing the propane shortage and price spike.

The Associated Press is reporting the governors from the midwest penned a letter to the President this week asking him to consider regulatory waivers aimed at increasing supplies and ease loan requirements to help communities respond to the shortage.

The leaders, who sent the correspondence through the Midwest Governor's Association, are also calling for the administration to explore actions that would stablize supplies in the future.  Michigan uses more propane than another other state.  Prices have tripled over the last few months and shipments are now 'cash only" purchases.  No more credit--at least for the time being.

Among those signing off, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, who along with Governor Snyder, has been mentioned as a possible White House contender in 2016.
