Some interesting news for those who use Google. According to reports from WILX, Google is working on offering a checking account.

In a report of The Wall Street Journal, the tech giant is currently in talks with Citigroup and Stanford Federal Credit Union.

If you're interested in this new checking opportunity, you might not have to wait too long. Reports are saying we could see a launch as soon as next year.

The name of the account would most likely be branded with the names of the two financial institutions. Google isn't the only company that has looked into offering financial services.

However, some lawmakers are unsure about allowing big tech companies to deal in finances.
