Global Cooling? Lake Michigan drops 30 Degrees in one day
What does it mean when the water temperature drops 30 degrees in some locations within one day? This occurred in Lake Michigan on Tuesday.
If the temperature in any large body of water were to increase 30 degrees in one day the Global warming crowd would claim it is due to Global Warming, so is it fair then to say that in this case it could be a sign of Global Cooling?
I would say no but what is good for the goose is good for the gander, right.
The National Weather Service says that the Ludington buoy which is four miles offshore recorded a water temperature of 41 degrees at midnight. At 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, the water temperature at that location was 73 degrees.
The National Weather Service believes this drop occurred due to “cooler weather and a change in wind direction”.
If you are choosing to swim in Lake Michigan soon be aware of the temperature of the water because water this cold could be dangerous if you stay in the water too long.
