Outlining some of her objectives as G.M.'s new C.E.O., Mary Barra says she would like to see Chevrolet and Cadillac brands strengthen their image. Others goals include continuing with the restructuring of G.M. operations in Europe along with improving profit margins. Barra says she will, to a large degree, follow the course established by former C.E.O. and the person she took over for, Dan Akerson.
