Florida Vacation was Painful for Snyder
During a recent vacation to Florida, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder ended up taking a trip to the hospital.
While jogging in the Sunshine State, Snyder said he felt a "pop" in his ankle. After visiting doctors in both Florida and Michigan he found out he had torn his right Achilles tendon.
According to Snyder jogging and exercise is a portion of his Healthy Michigan initiative. He said that while exercising he "overdid it," which caused his injury. A spokeswoman for the governor, Sara Wurfel, said the pain is "not horrible." Snyder is recovering in Michigan.
During a press conference Sunday night at the North American International Auto Show at Cobo Center in Detroit, Snyder joked about the possibility of running for president in 2016. A reporter asked if he was going to run and his response was that he is "working on running first."
Snyder is focusing on U.S.-Chinese automotive partnerships while at NAIAS. He is working to build a strong bridge between the countries to strengthen the Michigan economy.
