Flint Drops a Dubious Distinction
Flint is no longer the most dangerous city in the entire country.
Mlive.com reports that thanks to a 26-percent drop in violent crime in the first six months of 2013, the city has given up the title it's held for three years in a row.
The most dangerous city in America now is Oakland, California. Flint came in second.
Police Chief James Tolbert is crediting citizens stepping up to help fight crime by coming forward with information that solved cases as the main reason for the drop.
The news is seen as good for the entire state which has been home to four of the most dangerous cities in the country: Detroit, Flint, Saginaw and Pontiac.
