Fed’s Want To Shrink Our Balance Sheet Let’s ask Dr. Gary Wolfram What That Means
I will be interviewing economist Dr. Gary Wolfram Today (Thursday) at the top of the 9:00 hour.
Dr. Wolfram is the William E. Simon Professor of Economics at Hillsdale College and President of Hillsdale Policy Group, a consulting firm specializing in taxation and policy analysis. he received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
Dr. Wolfram and I will discuss a recent remark made by Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen the other day that the Fed will begin to shrink its $4.45 trillion balance sheet when the central bank is confident the economy is on a solid course.
I will ask Dr. Wolfram to inform us on what does shrinking the Fed's balance sheet mean, how will the Fed shrink their balance sheet and what does that mean for the American people.
