Do we not hear enough from our politicians and media about the plight of the LGBTQ community?

Now we must be lectured by our snack food makers.

Breitbart News is reporting that Doritos has created a bag of rainbow-colored chips in which they want their customers to show their support of the LGBTQ community by buying these chips.

Frito-Lay, the company which owns the Doritos brand, was quoted in the article saying:

Time and again, our consumers have shown us, there really is nothing bolder than being true to yourself and living life to the fullest,” they went on to say “with Doritos rainbow chips, we’re bringing an entirely new product experience to our consumers to show our commitment toward equal rights for the LGBT community and celebrate humanity without exception.

Do you want to be lectured by the people who produce your food?

Why do food producers like Frito-Lay have to get involved in politics or cultural issues?

You cannot even buy a bag of the rainbow-colored chips at the store. Interesting...are they trying to have their chips and eat them too?

Why not have those bags of chips prominently displayed next to their other products?

I believe I know why. Do you?

According to the article, the only way to purchase a bag of their LGBTQ chip is to donate a minimum of $10 to the It Gets Better campaign, a LGBTQ group.
