If you've already started your spring cleaning and you have some computers, keyboards, televisions, microwaves and more to get rid of but no idea how to get rid of them, here are a couple of suggestions. First, you can take them to the MSU Surplus Store & Recycling Center at 468 Green Way in East Lansing. If you didn't know, they accept lots of e-waste and household electronics which include computers, keyboards, telephones, cell phones, VCRs, printers, scanners, microwaves, vacuums, toasters and more. According to to their Facebook page, "your data will be safely wiped from your machine by our electronic data security experts, and properly recycled for free." If you need to get rid of an old TV or monitor, they accept those too, but there is a $10 fee per unit. Click here to find out more.

Also, another big recycling event is happening in April. Recycle Rama 2020 is taking place at the Ingham County Health Department on Cedar Street in Lansing on Saturday, April 18th. The event will run from 9 AM until 2 PM. Items accepted at Recycle Rama include electronics, light bulbs, fabrics & yarn, household goods, scrap metal, medications and more. Keep in mind that there's a $20 recycling fee if you want to recycle an old TV or monitor at Recycle Rama. Click here to find out more.
