Who's ready to see some of the most beautiful art work displays in downtown East Lansing?

The East Lansing Art Festival is back on the streets this weekend, on May 21 and May 22.

Here's the best part, 171 artists will put some of their most beautiful art work on display this weekend.  And perhaps some of the displays will end up in somebody's home.

I've been going to the East Lansing Art Festival for over 30 years because it's absolutely fantastic.

You know what makes this annual event so special? Not only great art, but live performances, a huge floral art installation area, and demonstrations which include pottery throwing.

One of the things that I really enjoy seeing are the new artists booths during the East Lansing Art Festival.

According to the Lansing State Journal:

Patterson, 28, has been taking her wood mosaic work seriously for the last five years as she works a day job as a data analyst at Michigan State University. She grew up going to ELAF, and decided this year to apply as an Emerging Artist, a program that gives a platform and booth experience to local up-and-comers.

We can tell you that over ten artists applied to be featured in this year's new artist lineup.

People are ready to get outside this weekend for the 59th annual East Lansing Art festival in downtown East Lansing.

It's a chance to enjoy great music, great art, and to just be a part of an ongoing mid-Michigan tradition.

The hours for the East Lansing Art festival are as follows:

Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
