DNC Convention Opens with Ironic Song
I found it very interesting and hypocritical that the Democratic National Committee opens up their convention with The Battle Hymn of the Republic. Do you remember the words of that song?
If not I will provide it for you:
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps,
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps:
His day is marching on.
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Since God is marching on.
Now the first of the two ironies I found was how do you start your convention with a song that has the words “His truth is marching on” when your nominee has been proven to not tell the truth most of the time?
Have they not seen the trust numbers on Hillary, did they not hear what the FBI Director said about her challenge with the truth? This proves to me that the Democrat party does not have any respect for the truth, all they care about is getting elected using whatever means they need to.
The second irony is how do you start your convention off with a religious hymn when your party does all they can do, including using the courts, to take religion out of our lives. I do not know if anyone who is not partisan cannot look at the last 8 years and see an all-out war against most organized religion. I say most because we all know there is one arm of an organized religion that they have not waged war against.
How can anyone trust this political party anymore, at least the party as it is today.
Let’s talk about this today on The Live with Renk Show which airs Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to noon. To let me know your thoughts during the show please call (269) 441-9595.
