Let’s be honest, President Trump tried to be diplomatic in his response to an AP reporter’s question concerning the election interference in 2016 and he failed.

Not only did he fail in his response by equating President Putin’s denial of Russian interference in the election to our intelligent agencies but he gave an awful lot of fire power to the Main Stream Manipulative News (MSMN) and the “Never Trump” republican.  Fire power that is not fake news, that does not excuse the MSMN reaction to his diplomatic failure but the words that he used are true.

Let us first examine the exchange between the reporter and President Trump.

The AP reporter asked the following question:

“President Trump, you first. Just now, President Putin denied having anything to do with the election interference in 2016. Every U.S. intelligence agency has concluded that Russia did. My first question for you sir is, who do you believe? My second question is would you now, with the whole world watching, tell President Putin, would you denounce what happened in 2016 and would you want him to never do it again?”

According to a transcript of the press conference by NPR President Trump’s response was as follows:

“So let me just say that we have two thoughts. You have groups that are wondering why the FBI never took the server. Why haven't they taken the server? Why was the FBI told to leave the office of the Democratic National Committee?

I've been wondering that. I've been asking that for months and months and I've been tweeting it out and calling it out on social media. Where is the server? I want to know where is the server and what is the server saying?

With that being said, all I can do is ask the question.

My people came to me, Dan Coates, came to me and some others they said they think it's Russia. I have President Putin. He just said it's not Russia.

I will say this: I don't see any reason why it would be. But I really do want to see the server but I have, I have confidence in both parties.

I really believe that this will probably go on for a while but I don't think it can go on without finding out what happened to the server. What happened to the servers of the Pakistani gentleman that worked on the DNC?

Where are those servers? They're missing. Where are they? What happened to Hillary Clinton's emails? 33,000 emails gone, just gone. I think in Russia they wouldn't be gone so easily.

I think it's a disgrace that we can't get Hillary Clinton's thirty three thousand e-mails.

I have great confidence in my intelligence people but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today and what he did is an incredible offer.

He offered to have the people working on the case come and work with their investigators, with respect to the 12 people. I think that's an incredible offer. Ok? Thank you.”

It’s very hard at least for me to take that media response to this question and answer seriously. Since the MSMS response to anything President Trump does or says is always painted in the most negative way, I’m wondering if this is because the MSMN is blaming Putin for Hillary’s loss and because of that they are constantly demanding their pound of flesh and nothing will ever be enough.

He has to be tough with the Russians, what he should have said was it is a new day and we will begin a new relationship you obviously did something in our election you always have and there is no doubt about that but you will not get to do it anymore without severe repercussions.

Yesterday was not his finest day

President Trump attempted to clarify why he said what he said when he Tweeted from Air Force one the following:

There were several Michigan lawmakers who expressed their dismay after President Donald Trump on Monday downplayed Russia's interference in the 2016 election and called the special counsel's probe "a disaster for our country."

Republican Congressmen Justin Amash, who represents the Grand Rapids area stated the following:

"A person can be in favor of improving relations with Russia, in favor of meeting with Putin, and still think something is not right here,"

Congressmen Bill Huizenga, R-Zeeland, stated:

"Russia is not a friend, they are a foe…The American intelligence community, as well as the House Committee on Intelligence, has demonstrated that Russia interfered with our election process and continues to actively undermine democracies across the globe…"Russia should not be given the benefit of the doubt, they should be held accountable for their actions.”

Do you believe President Trump was accepting the answer from President Putin concerning election meddling on par with his own intelligence agencies?

Should President Trump call a Press Conference and attempt to clarify more succinctly what he meant in his response to the AP reporter’s question?

It appears that President Trump cannot separate the two prongs of the investigation into Russian meddling and the Russian collusion narrative.

I believe he needs to and clearly state that he believes his intelligence agencies after they submitted hard evidence to the meddling and then move on to say that the Russian collusion narrative is not true and they have yet to submit to him or the American public any hard evidence to the contrary.

I started this piece and will end it with the following:
