The Best Wings in Michigan Are Coming to Lansing’s South Side

UPDATE: We have word on the exact location that Detroit Wing Co. will be opening their restaurant in South Lansing. You'll be able to find them at 6541 S Cedar, next to Tropical Smoothie Cafe, right where Cedar and Pennsylvania cross. Hopefully, we'll see them there soon!

Lansing's food scene is about to get even more delicious than it already is.

Word on the street is that the "best wings in Michigan" are coming to Lansing.

According to their Facebook page, Detroit Wing Company is going to be opening up a location on Lansing's south side.

The famous wing restaurant made the announcement on their Facebook page Saturday afternoon, but that was the only thing they announced. So far, there's no word on when we can expect Detroit Wing Company to be opening their doors in Lansing, or where for that matter. We just know "soon" and Lansing's south side.

We do have some theories on where we might see Detroit Wing Co set up shop though...

...The old Hooter's location off of Edgewood Boulevard by Celebration Cinema; or maybe the old FlapJack location on Cedar over by Lowe's; perhaps even on Cedar where the old Famous Dave's used to be. We'll keep an eye out and keep you updated.

We're pretty excited for a new wing place coming to Lansing, especially one that is so well-loved and has been voted the "Best Wings in Michigan". No joke; Detroit Wing Company has been voted as having the best chicken wings by Buzzfeed, Esquire, MSNBC, and plenty more places.

We wanted to see if all the hype was true, and it seems like it is. The reviews for this restaurant are all pretty great. Here's a review that Jim V of Lansing posted on Yelp:

Picked up an order of boneless Buffalo wings and they were great, also it was happy hour so they were 40% off at that time. Friendly service also made this a great experience, I'll definitely try it again when I'm in the area. Blows BW3 away...
