The 75th anniversary of D-Day is today and as we remember all of those that fought and lost their lives, East Lansing is doing some more than weekend. On Sunday East Lansing will be hosting a Final Salute Program, according to WILX.

Some events that will be happening during the Final Salute will be a presentation of colors by the Lansing-based 1st Battalion, 24th Marines and 25th Marine Regimen. In addition, there will be keynote speakers and closing remarks from retired U.S. Army Major General James Pocock. The event will also include a video paying tribute to those who have served in World War II.

The Final Salute Program will be happening at 2PM on Sunday at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center (819 Abbot Road). All community members and Mid-Michigan Veterans are invited to attend. More on it here.
