COVID-19 Numbers Reach A Low For Weekend With Over 1,000 Cases

We saw a low number of COVID-19 cases here in the state of Michigan this past weekend, with only 1,378 cases reported over both Sunday and Monday, with only 14 deaths.

This is a new low, after seeing cases increase this last month. With vaccines becoming readily available, lower cases should be a common trend from here on out. A new update was released today as well, that fully vaccinated people do not have to wear a mask at work. Those who are vaccinated also do not have to wear a mask in public spaces anymore.

Ingham County now sits at 22,511 confirmed cases of the virus with 370 deaths. Jackson County now reports 14,591 cases of the virus with 268 deaths. Eaton County also reports 8,797 cases of the virus and 200 deaths.

It was also announced earlier this last week that there would be no further permanent COVID-19 rules, following the end of October when a majority of the rules of the COVID-19 workplace are set to end.
