I don't know if you've actually hit up the local music scene, but it's not even that bad. Artists like Taylor Taylor, who's currently over in California, and Michigander all jam out here in the capital city. I'd like to bring up Greta Van Fleet here too, however, I wouldn't see them jamming in this space.

The building in question is located in downtown Lansing at 224 S. Washington Square.  The building has been in Lansing for roughly 100 years. The last residents inside the building were the Blue Knight Hookah Lounge.
