We have all certainly been enjoying another year of the weather getting warmer earlier than usual. Since early March we’ve had some nice warm sunny days, and even when it was cloudy it was still warm. We’re always warned by the TV weather people that we could always see some snow again in April. Sorry to share the news that there is a very good chance of cold for sure, and possible snow as well due to a weather pattern change that will soon affect us. We’ll see cool temps this week and even cooler next week.

MLive reports

The temperature forecast for the next six to 10 days shows a high chance of colder than normal temperatures. The experts at NOAA’s long range forecasting division, the Climate Prediction Center, think the cold will last to at least April 26. So just how cold could it be? We may have a few days next week with afternoon highs only in the 40s.

With lows possibly hitting the 20s or 30s, any planting projects should probably be postponed until this cold front passes. And here is one more detail I’m sure you did not want to hear, we do have a chance for snow Wednesday the 21st.

So don’t put those winter coats away quite yet, we’re still in Michigan and winter can be persistent. At least it will only last for a few days, then we can get back to the good stuff.
