Chris Rock Tickets Skyrocket: Where to See Him in Michigan
Following "the slap heard around the world" you would think Chris Rock would have some PTSD coming to a state shaped like a hand, but he's coming to Michigan nevertheless...for three nights at that.
Chris Rock Sets Out on World Tour Three Days After Slap at the Oscars
We will start this off with a quick disclaimer: we are referencing the Oscars as the timing is quite funny and it is a trending pop culture moment. We are in no way taking on stance on the joke that caused the slap, nor the slap itself.
You've seen what happened at the Oscars so we really don't need to re-hash everything that led up to and followed Will Smith smacking Chris Rock at the Oscars.
While we have enjoyed the memes, social media has also been flooded with commentary from Rock's fellow comedians. Just two days after the incident at the Oscars, Adam Sandler not-so-subtly shared support for his "Grown-Ups" costar with a tweet about Rock's upcoming world tour:
Now, imagine my surprise when I, for one, did not even know Rock was going on a world tour (whoops) but also found out it was kicking off, just three days after the Oscars incident, on March 30th in Boston.
Chris Rock World Tour Ticket Sales Skyrocket
Of course with any beef between celebrities that takes place on such a public stage, people are picking sides and it seems enough are on Rock's side to cause a surge in ticket sales for the "Ego Death World Tour."

Now, maybe it's because people know he now has some fresh material to add to the show and people want to see his response, as we haven't really gotten one yet, or maybe it's for a completely different reason. Who's to say?
If you're one who's excited to see Rock get back on the road, though, where can you see him in Michigan?
Chris Rock 2022 Tour Dates in Michigan
According to MLive, Rock has not been to the Mitten since 2017 when he performed in Detroit. Now, not only will he be in Detroit for two nights after adding another show, but he'll also be making a stop in Mt. Pleasant too.
Rock will be performing at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort on Saturday, June 25th. You can purchase tickets via SeatGeek or Stubhub. This show is a rescheduled date from February 11th, according to the ticketing websites.
He will then be returning to Michigan on Friday, September 16th at the Fox Theater in Detroit but also added a second night at the venue on Saturday, September 17th. You can find those tickets via SeatGeek, Stubhub or Ticketmaster, though, tickets for the added show on September 17th will not be on sale until April 1st at 10 AM, per MLive.
If you do plan on attending, though, just be aware cell phones will not be allowed as MLive reports, "Phones will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end."
