The Board of Water and Light will be cutting water supply off to hundreds of residents in apartment complexes in Bath Township late Monday night. A water main break off Chandler Road near Hunsaker Drive and State Road occurred around 9:30 AM Monday. In order to repair the break BWL crews will turn of the water supply to residents of The Rocks Apartments, The Landings at Chandler Crossings, The Club at Chandler Crossings, The Village at Chandler Crossings, Block 36, Hunters Ridge Apartments, and The Cottages at East Lansing.

BWL crews will wait until late Monday, around midnight, to shut off water, in an effort to lessen the burden on affected residents. Crews expect to have water back on in about three hours after the shut off.

Board of Water and Light officials say that if residents notice discolored water before the shut off to wait until the repairs are complete before running cold water at a pencil size stream until water clears. That typically takes 10-15 minutes. Officials also say that water, if not discolored, is safe for usage during the repair even if water pressure is low.
