WILX.com reports that a major Downtown Lansing traffic artery will be closed beginning Monday, May 13.

The Lansing Board of Water and Light is replacing an old steam main near the Lansing Community College campus beginning Monday, forcing the closure of Capitol Avenue between Saginaw Street and Lapeer Street. The closure is expected to last until mid-June.

All businesses will be accessible in this stretch. But, through traffic will be detoured for about a month.
