Peaches sold at the Aldi Supermarket chain have been linked to salmonella illness in Michigan.

The Aldi Supermarket chain has recalled the following bagged peaches sold at their stores:

  • Wawona Peaches (2 pound bag)  with UPC code 033383322001.
  • Peaches Organic  (2 pound bag) with UPC code 849315000400.

They were sold at Aldi stores between June 1 and now, and should be discarded if you have them in your home. The peaches were also sold via the Instacart food delivery app.

The peaches have been linked to salmonella outbreaks in Michigan and eigth other states, resulting in 68 illnesses.

Symptoms of salmonella poisoning include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Most healthy people can overcome the illness in about a week's time, but many with pre-existing health conditions may need to hospitalized.
