WILX.com reports that General Motors is recalling nearly 3.8 million of its sport-utility vehicles and pick up trucks.

According to the report, the recall comes under pressure from the federal government to fix a brake issue reported in vehicles from the United States and Canada after 113 reports of crashes and 13 injuries related to the brake problem.

2014-2018 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks are affected, along with 2015-2017 Cadillac Escalade models, and 2015-2018 GMC Yukon, Chevy Suburban, and Chevy Tahoe SUV's.

Notifications to owners of affected vehicles were released beginning on September 6.
