After weeks of being told to stay indoors and now with the weather warming up, people are amped to get outside.

While bike trails and state parks have stayed open, and lots of people are still fishing, others have wondered "what about boating?" Per Governor Whitmer's stay at home order, boating is still allowed.

However, Michigan State Police are still against the idea. According to WXYZ Detroit

This is because - if you run into boat trouble -- someone would have to come rescue you and that puts both you and your rescuer at risk for Covid-19.

If you do decide to take the boat out, only one household is allowed on it. Sharing is also discouraged -- it's advised everyone use their own equipment.
