WWJ Newsradio 950 and The Detroit News are reporting that an air appearance of the Blue Angels over Detroit will not be taking place Wednesday after all.

The U.S, Navy Flight Demonstration Squad Blue Angels and their U.S. Air Force counterparts, the Thunderbirds have been scheduling flight shows over American cities heavily affected by the coronavirus outbreak as part of their America Strong effort. It was first reported Monday that a performance would take place Wednesday to honor Detroit essential workers.

The report from WWJ says that there will, indeed, be a flight over Detroit. But, a date has not yet been determined. No reason for the change of plans was reported, though weather was suggested as a potential factor by WWJ.

The report from The Detroit News says that the initial plans reported by media outlets on Monday were preliminary plans leaked to the public.

Neither report has a confirmed date for "Fly Over Detroit". For full details, visit this link to WWJ, and this link to The Detroit News.
