Bill Passes Michigan House To Make English Official Language

WLNS.com is reporting that lawmakers in the Michigan House of Representatives have voted and passed a bill that would make English the official language of the state.

The bill divided Republicans and Democrats, with Republicans supporting the bill. If signed into law, all official public records written in Michigan would be required to be written in English. Other documents could still be written by government officials in other languages.
