There are high school boys and girls basketball teams in the Lansing area that are ranked this week in the Michigan Associated Press Top 10 polls.

These are the statewide polls, not the polls just featuring area teams.  You can find those at the bottom of the page.

On the boys side, not many teams make this week's polls.  10-4 East Lansing is in the receiving votes category in Division 1 while in Division 2, 13-0 Williamston is rated number 1, with 12-0 Ovid-Elsie and 11-1 Olivet in the receiving votes category.

As for the girls, there is more representation.  9-4 East Lansing, 10-2 Holt, 11-2 DeWitt, and 11-2 Haslett are in the Receiving Votes category in Division 1.  In Division 2, 13-0 Lansing Catholic is tied for 4th with Redford Westfield Prep while 12-1 Portland is 7th.  12-0 Ovid-Elsie and 9-6 Williamston are in the Receiving votes column.

Moving on to Division 3, 11-1 Leslie is Receiving Votes.  And in Division 4, 14-0 Portland St. Patrick is number 1 and 11-2 Fowler is rated 2nd.  St. Pats has handed Fowler both losses this season.
