The Associated Press- long the standard of sharing stories from newsroom to newsroom, has decided to sue the State Department and effectively Hillary Rodham Clinton over the inability to access email records.

In an awkward and defiant news conference this week the former First Lady and Secretary of State defended her actions of using only a private personal server and emails while conducting the nations affairs, despite a long time ban on the practice. The AP says it has tried on numerous occasions, some dating back more than 5 years in an attempt to gain access to Mrs. Clintons records using the Freedom of Information Act without success.

The AP says after careful consideration there were simply no other alternatives than to file a lawsuit in Federal Court and demand that the FOIA requests be honored.
