A Fuming Tom Izzo After Purdue Loss: “I Don’t Care About The Fanbase”
Michigan State basketball is in free fall and Coach Tom Izzo is hot as a result of that.
After dropping their third straight game and their fourth in the last five to Purdue 84-73, a game in which he destroyed his clipboard mid-game, he had some tough words in regards to fans that are complaining about his team's record (12-9).
After his "I don't care about the fan base" comment, Izzo went on to say:
"When I break down my game, I'll worry about my next game. It's not coach speak. It's not anything else. If people want to complain, I don't care. I really don't. I know what I'm doing. I know what this team is going through. Nobody knows what their going through because nobody has had to do it"
The grueling schedule continues for Michigan State as Michigan comes in to town on Sunday with two road games against Nebraska and Michigan also on the horizon next week. At nine losses already this season, the Spartans bubble team resume is getting more tenuous.
