This has been a Christmas I will never forget.  Instead of roasting chestnuts by an open fire, we are trying to keep ourselves warm.

We celebrated Christmas early with my mother-in-law and father-in-law.  After cooking spaghetti and bread on the grill outside, we opened presents by candlelight and flashlights. Instead of watching football, holiday specials and seeing the glow of i-Pads; it was a day filled with stories, laughter, and a lot of blankets.

An interesting experience... but when will the power return?

Consumers Energy and the Board of Water and Light have coverage maps with estimated times of when power will be returned throughout the state.

Visit www.consumersenergy.com or http://www.lbwl.com/ to report outages and find out the status of your power returning.

How will you spend your Christmas if your power is not back?  What creative meal are you going to have, and how will you cook it?
